Machine Shop Apprentice

Are you a highly motivated apprentice looking to gain experience in our Machine Shop Department? Our state-of-the-art Machine Shop includes CNC Machining, Manual Machining, Welding, and Inspection. If so, this first shift, 7:30A-3:30P, Chandler-based position is the perfect fit for you!
This candidate must have the following to be considered for the role:

• Willing to assist the Machine Shop Foreman in a variety of machining and welding tasks
• Minimum of 1+ years’ experience reading blueprints
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Summary ofEssential Functions:

• Support the Machine Shop Department with equipment maintenance
• Assist Machinists with deburring and tapping parts
• Assist with various sawing and welding tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist the Machine Shop Department

Additional Requirements:

• Familiar with operating CNC and Manual machines
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 practices
• Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks a plus.
• Knowledge of programming Mills using SURFCAM is a definite plus.
• Manual mills and lathe experience a plus.
