NOW HIRING MACHINE OPERATORS- 1st SHIFT FOREST CITY
** Previous CONVERTING EXPERIENCE is a PLUS **
SHIFTS: 7am to 7pm Mon- Sun 2-2-3 schedule
Pay: $18.00 per hour with $1.50 per hour shift differential after 3pm
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment
- Responsible for the setup and operation of machines to produce a quality product that meets or exceeds customers’ requirements
- Required general knowledge in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belts, etc…), pneumatics and hydraulics to effectively perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production during machine service.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts to inspect, test, and repair. Perform machine change-overs as required while adhering to standards
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Perform all work according to safety regulations and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
- Assist in the training of new technicians
- Experience with 5S (Lean Manufacturing is a plus)
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
- Working knowledge of hand tools, multimeters, and other test equipment
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to safety in the workplace
- Comfortable with not wearing any jewelry, piercings, or nail polish
