SUMMARY

Mixes tints to dye lens to match color prescribed by the doctor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

• Take lens out of tray and clean with solution
• Use clamps to put lenses in various color dyes to achieve desired results
• Run water over lens after removing from dye

Secondary Duties

• Perform duties at Mounting
• Cross-train/help in other areas of the department as directed by Supervisor and/or Lead

Production Expectations

• New employees are expected to produce/complete 10 jobs/hour by 90 Days of employment  (this includes all types of tints - UV, Gradient, etc.)
• At one year of employment and beyond, employees are expected to produce 15-20 jobs per hour (this includes all types of tints - UV, Gradient, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• None required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read prescriptions
• Able and willing to work as a team
• Able to read and write English Language
• Have good eye sight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
• Work without supervision
• Must be able to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed
• Ability to mix colors together to achieve a prescribed color by the doctor
• Good memorization and organization skills
• Must be able to interpret and follow instructions well
