Machine Operator Senior

Pay: $24/hour (Includes Shift differential)

2nd Shift

2pm-10:30pm

Responsible for multi machine operation experience including Gallus printing presses, label applicator, blister machine etc. Pallet jack or forklift experience are a must. Ensure product assembly meets production requirements (both quality and quantity) Proper identification and physical movement of raw, in-process and finished goods materials to and from storage locations, Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

Area: Rotary punches to sheeter

Job description

Set up:

• Set up correct dies in correct stations.
• Change webbing to incorporate correct rotary punch (if needed) -Begin to set up current job.
• Splice on proper R.M if needed/align
• Begin at first ink station, set impression.
• Continue to next needed ink stations-#4 -Set impression and registration sensor.
• Engage HM, set impression, reg. sensor, put in register.
• Remove web from rewind send through sheeter into Gannicott.
• Pull trim.
• Start aligning sheeter first, next station 1 ,2, 3 and rotary punch.
• Fine tune product 250 fpm.
• Pull a good stack & NDC for startup.
• Fill out paperwork.

RUN

• Continuously check and ensure machine and product are properly running.
• Walk up and down press, double check R.M hung proper, check inks, monitor H.M, look and listen to machine.
• Check product registration OFTEN (this is the main responsibility of operator
• “Assist packager” if needed, help stock packaging supplies if running low, if the times permits it.
• Clean and wipe down machine and area.
• Pull a stack for retains, perform all quality checks needed.
• Ensure Gannicott is running smooth, and stacks are proper.
• Clean and wipe again machine.

TEARDOWN

Main operator: should have the paperwork and retains done, end of job procedures, perform the final.

In charge of changing the dies and the hole punches.

• Pull a good tack and NDC for final.
• Fill out all paperwork.
• Complete and close the job.
• Remove dies from station.
• Remove and purge all previous job from area.
