Machine Operator - Night Shift

Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI, is looking for a full-time Machine Operator on Night Shift. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ALSUM FARMS AND PRODUCE MACHINE OPERATOR

As a Machine Operator, you arrive each day ready to set up machinery for daily production activity and perform basic daily maintenance procedures as instructed by the maintenance department. You will operate the grader/sizing machine. We expect this Machine Operator to learn the unloading and washing system as well as the different sizes and grades of potatoes. You will utilize basic computer skills to set up and run these machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Job Schedule: 5:00pm to approximately 2:00am

Salary: $19.20-$19.95 per hour - includes a $1.00 per hour Night Shift differential

• Have mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain equipment in a safe, efficient, and careful manner
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Can climb stationary ladders
• Can stand for prolonged periods and have capability to move throughout the facility
• Can move, carry, and lift 75 pounds at times
• Can comprehend and follow directions and to communicate and keep daily records
• Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
