Machine Operator Ii (Evening)

NOTE: This is an evening shift Monday-Friday from 3:15pm-11:45pm. Evening hours will be compensated at a shift differential.
DESCRIPTION
The Machine Operator II works from work orders, set up sheets, follows QC checks, daily maintenance. Operates and set up CNC mills and lathes on a production schedule, assists on training, material handling, updates set up sheets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow and maintains instructions for the fabrication of parts.
• Replace inserts and tools base on their lifetime or by following and maintaining specifications.
• Inspect parts following instructions for first and second QC check.
• Experience utilizing calipers and micrometers, gauges, optical comparator and other specialize measuring tools.
• Read, interpret and inspect drawings.
• Identify when parts fall out of specifications.
• Follows and inspects procedures to maintain the quality of the production.
• Complies times and movements required to optimize production and assures this are followed.
• Intermediate understanding of G and M codes, modify offsets and read programs to adjust as required by procedures.
• Microsoft Office experience to access, create and update excel sheets and documents.
• Assist other departments on the company as needed.
• Proficient on OSP and Fanuc controls.
• Will utilize common machine shop tools and equipment.
• Will operate Forklift to handle material and waste.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Consistently displays a sense of urgency in meeting all deadlines and goals, keeping in mind that quality and timeliness are of paramount importance to management and our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required, 1year Experience on OSP controls.
Education & Experience

• 1 year experience as an Operator II or related. 12-month technical program, High school diploma, GED or minimum 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and barcode labels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, this position operates in a manufacturing environment and will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in this work environment can be loud. Surrounding the environment is moving equipment, saws, cranes and other equipment that if not used with care can prove to be dangerous.
