Machine Operator

Tremron, part of the QUIKRETE® Companies, LLC, a manufacturer and distributer of concrete block, retaining walls, pavers, brick, stone, and other masonry and landscape products, has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator for our Douglasville, GA facility.

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a sophisticated, computerized, manufacturing machine and reports to the Plant Manager.

The Machine Operator will:

• Assure that equipment and tools are used according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Take a variety of measurements throughout the shift to monitor the process and ensure quality.
• Perform machine setup and maintenance as needed according to machine specifications.
• Clean the machines as needed throughout the shift.
• Operate a forklift as needed.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience as a Machine Operator, Block Plant or like industry strongly preferred.

• Show strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.
• Have knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, power, transmission, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Must be able to operate and work around industrial machinery.
• Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, steel toe boots, and all other PPE as required.
• Must be able to work independently and with others with limited supervision.
• Must be able to take direction in a manufacturing environment with ever changing demands.
