Position Title: Utility Support Specialist (Machine Operator)

Position Summary:
Utility support specialist is trained to operate various machines to produce daily orders. You will work alongside management and provide extra support in departments with high-volume and coverage needs. Learning new skills and equipment to maximize production productivity. You will be assigned daily to a machine requiring coverage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trained to operate (2) 10ft Hybrid printers using sheets or rolls for print media.
- Trained to operate (2) 10ft GS3250r printers using flexible vinyl materials.
- Trained to operate a Base 62 laminator using clear vinyl to various materials.
- Trained to operate a Zune cutting various materials.
- Trained to operate a Kongsberg XL44 cutting various materials.
- Trained to operate a Durst printer using flexible vinyl materials.
- Trained to operate a HP Latex printer using flexible vinyl materials.
- Trained to operate a Kayo 126 printer using dye sublimation paper for textile.
- Trained to operate any of the machinery listed above when coverage is needed.
- Training and Development to new hires and existing employees on listed machines.
Skills and Abilities:
- Follow all OSHA and GPC safety policies and procedures.
- Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs on workorders.
- Determines quantities required for print job.
- Matches colors or hardcopy samples to prints.
- Aligns and configures machinery.
- Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings.
- Maintains and communicates inventory of supplies needed to operate assigned machines.
- Troubleshoots issues with printing and cutting machinery and makes basic repairs.
- Performs routine maintenance on machines while you are assigned to it.
- Maintains a clean area around assigned machinery.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Runs machinery efficiently and effectively
- Ensuring that material utilization is being executed.
- Work as a team player.
Education/Experience/Certification:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year production manufacturing running machinery required.
