The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining assigned machine in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, be detail oriented, and able to lift heavy objects. The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring the machines are running efficiently and effectively and will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity. Safety must be a value and a mindset, as well as the continuous improvement approach.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
- Adjust production equipment such as clearing jams, product changeovers, etc.
- Clean up and blow down machinery; assist setting up equipment for production runs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot the operation of the machines with precision and measuring tools.
- Fix and/or report mechanical issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Ensure daily throughput is in line with target.
- Perform quality checks on packaging to ensure all produced products meet quality standards.
- Follow SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for production equipment.
- Keep work area organized, clean and safe.
- Help to identify opportunities for improvement (safety, quality, productivity).
- Utilize Forklift to feed raw material to fully & semi-automated machines.
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Experience operating machinery is recommended.
- Forklift/Pallet Jack experience preferred but not required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and proactive attitude.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy material up to 60 lbs
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $18.00 per hour + Shift Differential

- Monday through Friday
- 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
