- Operates equipment to assist with production. Being mindful of minimizing waste
- Makes frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards and executes stop work authority when needed.
- Assists maintenance personnel on mechanical repairs and performs assigned preventative maintenance work.
- Maintains clean work area
- Completes and file all required documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
- Verifies raw material specifications prior to production runs as per company standards.
- Performs minor troubleshooting on production lines. Notify leads and supervisors of any major problems or questions.
- Properly identifies rework product and scrap produced.
- Communicates updates to incoming shift. Assists other operators as needed.
- Follows all established safety procedures
- Understands, follows, and enforces all established standard operating procedures (SOP"s).
- Participates in continuous improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years in manufacturing as a Machine Operator is preferred. Will consider less with willingness to learn
- Team player with positive attitude
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs
- Look for opportunities to improve manufacturing process
- Work under pressure in fast pace setting to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and follow given instructions
- Punctuality and attendance are key. Reliability is highly important.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Technically savvy with ability to learn computer systems
