Job Title:Machine Operator - 29176
Shift: Sunday to Thursday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm Days off Friday and Saturday
Pay Rate: $17-18.00 per hour. 40 hrs per week

POSITION SUMMARY:

Operate sorting machinery, including Opex 150, 7780, 3600, 7200, and iTran. Open and sort incoming mail using high-speed Opex 150 Mail opening equipment. Prepare machines for daily operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Feed envelopes into high-speed machine.
• Remove sorted mail from stacker bins and bundle.
• Batch opened items according to customer instructions.
• Monitor and regulate workflow to meet daily deadlines.
• Tag completed trays for date/customer control.
• Correct machine jams and match miss-sorts of mail.
• Ensure work meets established production and quality standards.
• Restart select job applications and ensure proper distribution or processing of output.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Balancing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to operate transport or work station equipment.
• Ability to operate Mail Extraction and Mail Sorter equipment as well as Data Correction Terminals.
• Proficiency in performing 10-Key by touch and PC literacy.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly, push/pull heavy carts, and handle paper and finished products continually.
• Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time.

"The pay rate for this position is $17.00/hr; however, base pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
