Position Description:
Lomont Molding LLC, an innovative custom plastics manufacturer Machine Operators are critical to the manufacturing and delivery of quality, on-time delivery of plastic components and finished goods to Lomonts customers. Machine Operators are an integral part of the team and the position is set-up for individuals to grow with the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for completing work orders which drive scheduled production requirements per the customers needs.
Responsible for processing parts from molded to finish product and monitoring the product being produced/machined by the molding presses as per the bill of materials and work instructions.
Ability to safely operate machines and auxiliary equipment needed to produce plastic components and finished goods.
Accurately supply necessary items to machines, secondary and warehouse
Maintain and monitor material supply at the machine. Communicate with team to supply and maintain material needed for current product running per bill of material at the machine as not to run the machine out of material.
Pack cartons with finished product as per work instructions.
Communicate with Production Leader prior to running out of components.
Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to follow the information in the BOMs.
Able to fill out control logs in an accurate and timely manner.
Able to identify and record basic defects in parts (shorts, sinks, voids, scratches, wavy louvers, knit lines, flow lines, burns, etc.)
Ability to follow safety procedures and utilize safety features on machines and auxiliary equipment.
Willingness and ability to learn, implement and maintain 5S and lean principles.

Education and Experience Summary:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
Ability to work in various settings, including noise.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work independently at a machine.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing Environment with molds, machines, forklifts, etc.
Hours and Travel:
This is an hourly, full-time position. Must be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours. Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
