Responsibilities:
· Follow all applicable procedures defined for manufacturing cosmetics, foods, and drugs as defined by current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) mandated by the FDA in 21CFR
· Follow required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
· Reports any unsafe conditions and helps to resolve them
· Participate and follow 5S program and Continuous Improvements Efforts
· Be punctual and dependable arriving to work
· Operate packaging machines and equipment to maintain efficiency and quality standards
· Prepare machine at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order
· Perform periodic quality checks to ensure the machine is producing a quality product
· Maintain good housekeeping around workstation
· Ensure raw materials are ready and available before and during your shift
· Maintain target fill weight during the production run
· Ensure correct labeling of packaging product
· Verify date code, batch # and expiration dates on the job docket requirements
· Follow the job docket assembly steps and other requirements
· Communicate any machine issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary
· Production data entry into the computer terminal
· Troubleshoot problems and make minor adjustments necessary to maintain efficiency and quality
· Adhere to company’s production/ inventory software (Nulogy) procedures including:
· Pausing/ Starting Production software during machine downtime
· Capturing/ Recording Setup time
· Closing out job once it is completed
Qualifications / Expectations:
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills
· Ability to operate manufacturing equipment, follow specific direction, operate basic power hand tools, and other duties as assigned
· Good communication skills, verbal and written
· Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift
· Follow safety rules, participate in the safety awareness and have a safety-conscious attitude, in order to help prevent possible incidents from occurring that could harm not only yourself, but other plant personnel as well
· Quality conscious to ensure a quality product
· Show a willingness to learn operator skills
· Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and various shifts depending on production schedule
· Adhere to company attendance policy
· Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.80 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
