The Machine Operator is assigned to or skilled in the operation of a particular kind or class of industrial machine. Understands safety is a priority and observes/practices all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers and attends periodic safety meetings as required. Encouraged to routinely recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Machine Operator responds attentively to training from leadership or more senior operators to increase own knowledge of work processes.
What You'll Do: Tasks in assembly plant include, but our not limited to:
- Frame Welding Machine Operations
- Frame Cleaning Machine Operations
- Backbedder Operations
- Glass Dropping
Essential Functions:
- Ability to complete all tasks within required position capably and efficiently.
- Understands and promotes team and company culture.
- Understands and follows company policies, such as attendance and conduct.
- Embraces team member’s role in profit sharing and makes positive contributions.
- Demonstrates teamwork skills and gives best effort under all circumstances. Consistently focuses on assigned task both physically and mentally.
- Avoids and discourages excessive idle conversations during non-break times.
- Respects and appreciates diversity of others.
- Contributes daily to achieving team goals.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to be flexible (i.e. alternate tasks, support other mfg. lines).
- Understands safety regulations and routinely wears PPE and ensures team members follow PPE guidelines.
- Promptly applies efficient and thorough responses to accidents.
- Understand that overtime required with short notice.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Constant standing up to 12 of hours a day- Frequent walking throughout assembly facilities
- Frequent bending/stooping/squatting
- Occasional reaching overhead when handling glass
- Frequent reaching/pushing/pulling away from body
- Frequent pushing with minimal or maximum force to maneuver the glass down the production line on rollers
- Frequent carrying up to 60 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
- Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required
