a Machine Maintenance Technician
SECOND SHIFT

This Machine Maintenance Technician position starts at a range of $15.00-$16.50/hour (depending on experience) plus a $2.50 shift bonus with pay increases throughout the training program that offer the opportunity to make more.
Full benefits are available after 60 days, including medical, a free local clinic, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, short-term disability, and long-term disability. MACHINE REPAIR TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Changing filters according to a predetermined schedule according to departmental SOP's - including but not limited to: air filters, coolant filters, wash tank filters.
  • Maintaining fluid levels of various production machines and equipment according to a predetermined schedule according to departmental SOP's.
  • Emptying chip hoppers and waste water from work cells.
  • Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
  • Safely stop equipment, dismantle machines and remove parts for maintenance, reassemble machines after the completion of maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine correct operation and to detect problems.
  • Adhering to Lock out Tag out procedures
  • Reporting issues of concern to Machine Repair Team
  • Record routine maintenance completion, routine inspection results, routine machine data collection, other required information.
  • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
  • Organize, purchase, and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to ensure timely completion of all maintenance. Use of Syteline to generate PO's.
  • Keep tools, maintenance work area, maintenance room clean and ready to use.
  • Overtime may be required for completing repairs (long work days and/or weekends)

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Ability to operate a powered Industrial truck (fork lift).
    • Ability to operate motorized devices and use various hand tools.
    • Ability to use a computer (Excel, Word, Outlook, Syteline, Etc.)
    • Ability to write, read, count, identify shade of colors, and perceive depth.
    • Ability to operate a motor vehicle, office equipment, and mechanical equipment.
