Currently looking for several Machine Design Engineers to fill a permanent positions in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Ideally looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience, but all levels of skill will be considered.

Responsibilities of the Machine Designer / Project Engineer
- Create and design special machines utilizing engineering principles, knowledge and related experience
- Concept and design systems, new automation machines, material handling, assembly and process equipment
- Size mechanical equipment such as pumps, gears, bearings, hydraulics and piping
- Work within a team of other experienced mechanical design engineers
- Create and review bid specifications, detailed drawings and bill of materials
Desired requirements of the Machine Designer / Project Engineer
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Minimum of one year of machine design experience (preferably automation), process equipment or material handling
- SolidWorks or Inventor software experience are preferred, but AutoCAD, Creo, Pro-E or any 3D CAD software experience will be considered
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, servos, vision systems and PLCs is desired
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Technical ability, team oriented and attention to detail
- Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card
