Machine Builder – Mechanical Assembly

We are looking for a Machine Builder to perform Mechanical Assembly. You will also perform a variety of tasks with some degree of complexity, requiring thorough knowledge of fabrication techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.

In this position, you will be entrusted with the following key tasks:

• Assemble complex machinery; bolt, weld, rivet, and fasten machine to foundation or other structures.
• Work from blueprints, specifications, and job layouts; uses a variety of gauging devices, hand tools and other equipment, such as drill presses, grinders, mag drills, and saws.
• Assemble water plumbing per water schematics. Cut poly tubing and hoses per specification.
• Assemble pneumatics per nitrogen schematics.
• Level and align machines and equipment.
• Use various measurement equipment to check work.
• Plan and lay out work having variations in standard procedures.
• Operate hoists, cranes, riggings, dollies, and trucks to move equipment from one location to another.
• Lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assist with or performs testing operations on units and completed assemblies.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Associates degree preferred; high school education or GED required, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires knowledge of safe working practices around electricity.
• Must be familiar with portable power tools and machine tools such as drill press, bandsaw, cut-off saw and grinder.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
