POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining patient safety, as well as keeping a clean and sanitary environment at all times at Bright Future Recovery, and for the quality of services rendered. Collaborates with the team to ensure client safety and care. Provides detoxification care services.
Essential Functions:
Delivery of Medical Care IMS
· Testing associated with detoxification from alcohol or drugs;
· Observing patient self-administered medications;
· Assist in treating substance abuse disorders, including detoxification.
· Assist in 15-30 minute documented checks to ensure client safety during Detox.
· Observing Vitals
· Medication checks
· Collect monitored UAs and send to lab for confirmation
· Interact with clients to support their participation in the program
· Infectious Control
· COWS/CIWA expertise to ensure client receives accurate level care.
· Screen clients to ensure safety.
· Aid in clients comfort and healing.
· Help out with overall program and house duties to ensure each and every client loves it here and is able to focus on healing/sobriety.
· Other duties as assigned by management
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Competencies:
· Ability to multi-task, delegate tasks, manage residents care, maintain facility standards.
· Desire to assist those with chemical dependency in their recovery
Education:
· Minimum High School Graduate or GED.
Experience:
· 1 year experience in the field of recovery or equivalent human services work experience preferred.
· Prior experience in detox environment highly desired.
CNA/MA/LVN or those who have 2 year experience in a substance abuse rehabilitation program highly preferred (not required)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
· Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software
Certificates & Licenses:
· Valid Driver’s License
· CPR/First AID
· Drug and Alcohol Counseling Credential or Internship Preferred
Other Requirements:
· Negative TB test results within past year
· Medical Clearance to work within past year
· Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings and random drug screenings

· Occasional walks, hikes, and sports outings with residents for physical activities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed during day and night shifts primarily in residential detox facility. This includes work in facility office as well as the grounds of the entire facility including upstairs resident rooms, clinical office, and laundry room that are accessed via staircase, and outdoor grounds. Residential/Detox Technician routinely drive residents in company vehicles for intakes/discharges at other treatment facilities and transportation hubs, to doctor appointments, to outings and recovery meetings. Work is often performed in emergency and stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate in other situations.
BLOOD/FLUID EXPOSURE RISK:
Some job tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissue. Staff must wear gloves and follow infectious control procedures when interacting with residents in conditions in which exposure is possible such as handling onsite urinary analysis, conducting first aid, and conducting search of residents’s belonging and person. Staff may be exposed to infectious disease, needles, and illicit substances during searches.
Work Schedule:
As a non-exempt hourly employee, the employee shall work a designated schedule as assigned by management. Employee shall not work over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week without prior authorization from management but if so, will earn overtime for any work performed in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Employee must also follow company’s policies regarding required meals and breaks.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
