LVN/LPN - Primary Care Clinic

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans. 

• Office hours are M-F 8 to 4:30, FT hours.
• No evenings, holidays, on-call, weekends!
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Completes all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit as alerted in the electronic medical record.
• Obtains medical histories from patients; verifies patient information.
• Prepares, assists, and accurately completes all forms.
• Assists on-site providers during examinations and treatment.
• Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (EKG, injections, blood draws, etc.) as trained and certified.
• Schedules clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinic

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

• High School Diploma/GED 
• Active state nursing license in the state of NM.
• Minimum one-year experience as an LPN/LVN in a related Primary Care or ambulatory care setting; government healthcare environment preferred. Specific requirements could vary based on individual VA contract.
• Graduate of an accredited certificate program
• Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite
• Demonstrate high-quality customer service. 
• Basic Life Support certification: issuing agency American Heart Association
