Responsibilities
The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists Registered Nurse and physician in determining the health status and health needs of patients based on interpretation of health-related data and preventative health practices, in collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of immediate healthcare team.
Primarily responsible for processing referrals, conducting prior authorizations, requesting refills and patient callbacks. Will also assist in taking vitals and drawing labs.

Wellstone Health Partners also has Primary Care offices in Killeen, Harker Heights and Belton. Many offices are conveniently located next to SMCHH in the Medical Pavilion. Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Current License as LVN in the State of Texas
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous clinic or primary care experience
- Completion or proof of an IV Therapy course/certification preferred
- Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
