Position Summary:
As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring the well-being of our patients. This position involves a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.
Licensed Vocational Nurse Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with routine medical procedures and examinations.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care protocols.
Licensed Vocational Nurse Requirements:
- Graduate of a school or vocational nursing, required. Can start orientation when the GVN is online through the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current Texas License to practice vocational nursing, required.
- Current CPR certification required
- ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
- Must be IV Certified
- One or more years of Acute Care experience as an LVN preferred.
