PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- LVN Licensed Vocational Nursing License to work in the State of Texas
- Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements
- Must submit to HHSC required drug test
- Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting
- Must complete facility and HHSC required training
- Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
- Perform computer data entry – Receive full training
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
- Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs. Evening (2pm -10pm) and night (10pm - 6am) shifts are the current needs. Every other weekend off. Able to start any day during the week (M-F), given 5 days before start date for processing all pre-employment requirements.
- Current staff needed / 1 day shift, 2 evening shifts, 2 night shifts
- 40-hours/week; OT available
- Minimum of 2-3 weeks of on unit mentorship with a seasoned LVN
