Job Summary:
The lunchroom/recess supervisor supervises students during lunch and/or recess time held outdoors and insidee the buidling. The supervisor is responsible for the students' safety and assists in resolving conflict among students. Lunch/recess supervisors may be assigned to work outdoors for their entire shift and must be able to work outside when the wind chill (combined temperature and wind speed) is as low as 13 or the heat index (combined temperature and relative humdity) is as high as 95. Conditions are based on ISBE's Child Care Weather Watch. Supervisors generally work betwen the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - specific hours will depend upon building assignment.
