Overview:

We are currently seeking a Yard Worker to join our team. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for performing various duties related to materials handling and warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in forklift operation and mechanical knowledge.

Duties:

- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials

- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments

- Assist with inventory management by organizing and maintaining stock in the yard

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the supervisor

- Follow safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Yard Worker or in a similar role preferred

- Proficiency in operating a forklift, and other materials handling equipment, CDL preferred but not necessary.

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment

- Ability to lift heavy objects 50 # or more and perform physical tasks as required

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Payment frequency:

• Paid biweekly
