Lumber Yard Estimator

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lumber Yard Estimator to join our team. As a Lumber Yard Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by accurately estimating and producing lumber packages for light commercial and residential projects. If you have a strong background in rough lumber and trusses estimation, along with excellent computer skills and knowledge of framing, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Put together lumber packages for light commercial and residential projects
• Utilize computer software for estimating to create accurate and detailed estimates
• Produce estimate proposals and send them to clients in a timely manner
• Create estimates in software using accounting codes
• Utilize cloud-based project management software for efficient workflow
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software applications
• Work remotely while effectively utilizing communication tools like Zoom
• Maintain good communication with clients and team members

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in rough lumber and trusses estimation
• Skill in putting together lumber packages for light commercial and residential projects
• Proficiency in computer software for estimating (training available)
• Proficient with CoConstruct
• Working knowledge of framing techniques
• Familiarity with Lumber Yard operations
• Ability to create accurate estimates and proposals
• Experience with cloud-based project management software (a plus)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Excel)
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting Salary at $30 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience.
