** This is a remote position, but the candidate will be required to come onsite in Raleigh, NC occasionally. The manager estimates the onsite requirement will be no more than once a quarter or less. It will likely only be during NC emergency situations or team building events. Candidate must work EST Business Hours. **

Our direct client has an opening for an Azure Cloud Architect # 704178. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked remotely (must work EST business hours) with occasional on-site visits to Raleigh, NC.

Description:

This position supports the application system development, enhancement and maintenance work assigned to the GIS Unit. This resource is responsible for supporting the design and development of GIS application components in the current Enterprise GIS, Roads and Highways, Spot Online, NC CRIS, and ATLAS implementation to include migration of some components to Azure Cloud.

Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage highly complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have extensive industry experience.

Required/Desired Skills:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Required - 3 Years

Experience and knowledge in information system architecture, system design patterns, and integration - Required - 7 Years

Experience and knowledge in Azure cloud infrastructure as a service. - Required - 3 Years

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and services to include windows servers, IIS - Required - 7 Years

Experience and knowledge of web technology include n-tier architecture, REST, SOA, JavaScript, HTML5, and HTTP. - Required - 5 Years

Windows PowerShell (v5.1) and PowerShell Core (v7+) - Required - 2 Years

Experience and knowledge of Windows package deployment (MSI) - Required - 2 Years

Experience and knowledge of SSL Certificates. - Required - 5 Years

Experience using common Windows application protocols such as Active Directory, Authentication and Authorization (ADFS, Kerberos, SSPI, etc.), CIFS, HTTP(S), LDAP, SSL, TLS, SSH, IPSEC - Required - 3 Years

Considerable experience and knowledge of principles and concepts of information system security, good practice and security analysis - Required - 7 Years

Deep knowledge of Windows software deployment architecture (MSI) - Highly desired - 2 Years

Expertise in Windows Registry - Highly desired - 2 Years

UML Modeling - Highly desired - 2 Years
