Qualifications:
- PA State Board of Cosmetology Teaching License, and PA Department of Education Teaching Vocational I or II Certificate or qualify to enroll in a certification program.
- Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide quality occupational instruction to students grades 9-12, in Cosmetology skill competencies.
- Plan and develop curriculum and daily lesson plans incorporating industry approved standards skills based on the PA Department of Education approved curriculum and in accordance with PA State Board of Cosmetology Regulations. Monitor and assess students theory and skill performance based on tests, quizzes, projects and means of formative assessment.
- Maintain accurate records related to student achievement, attendance and other systems of measuring student performance using computer technology.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, conduct, attendance and other matters of performance related skills.
- Other assignments requested by the principal or designee.
Salary Range (2023 - 2024 School Year):
$53,277 to $84,228 - Emergency/Intern Certification (coming in with industry experience)
$54,481 to $86,531 - Vocational I Teaching Certification
$53,379 to $89,997 - Vocational II Teaching Certification
$61,041 to $98,278 Master's Degree
$63,691 to $102,147 Master's +15
$65,079 to $103,999 Master's + 30
* Salary is pro-rated based upon duration of the assignment
Schedule: 10 month, school year (194 days), Mon - Fri, 7.5 hours per day
