Customer Service Agent Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

• Processes orders and collects past due balances for customers who submit their orders for material or merchandise received by telephone, fax, or email for all RLCorp business units.
• Verifies accuracy of customer information including part numbers, customer account number, credit status, and shipping instructions.
• Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and additional information as needed by the customer.
• Emails confirmations to customers including the order confirmation number, dates, and initials within twenty to thirty minutes of the time the order was initially received.
• Processes returns for credit determination and claims with FedEx and other LTL freight companies as appropriate.
• Processes multiple payment types including credit card payments and electronic check payments.
• Prepares account statements, reports, and other records, as needed.
• Processes credit applications and analyze payment discrepancies and resolves account issues with customers.
• Receives, checks, and resolves customer complaints.

Customer Service Agent Shift Info

• Day Shift, 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
• Monday - Friday

Customer Service Agent Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

• Previous experience in LTL freight companies
• Excellent at communicating over the phone and handling phone systems
• Able to concentrate on multiple problems at once
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to answer the phone, listen actively, relay information, and type basic information simultaneously
• Customer Service Agent experience preferred 
• Able to pass a background check 
• Able to work in the US.
