Dane County Human Services, Prevention and Early Intervention Division (Community Restorative Justice Unit) has a limited term vacancy for a LTE Human Services Program Analyst position in Madison, WI. This position will be located at 818 W. Badger Road, Madison, WI.

Limited Term Employees (LTEs) are limited to 1,200 hours in a payroll year and are not guaranteed any hours per week.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision of the Planning and Evaluation Manager, this classification analyzes and evaluates the Department of Human Services' provided/purchased services and other related planning and evaluation activities. Assesses community service needs. Researches and compiles statistics and data for projects and programs. Makes recommendations and develops reports. Conducts surveys and program evaluations. Performs related work as required.


EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Conducts program analysis and evaluation of Human Services Programs. Develops evaluation criteria and outcome measures for purchased and provided Human Services. Monitors service outcomes and attainment of program goals and objectives. Conducts budget analysis and financial projections in caseload specific areas. Develops and implements surveys, organizes large complex data sets, compiles and analyzes information, draws conclusions and makes recommendations. Performs community needs assessments. Plans and implements process and outcome evaluations. Performs budget projections and assist in development of service delivery systems and programs.

Education, Training and Experience:

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in economics, statistics, urban and regional planning, public administration, business administration or a closely related Human Services field. Must also possess two (2) years of professional experience in a systems or planning analyst capacity.


Special Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license, or access to reliable personal transportation, or equivalent.

Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:

Typical office environment, travel to alternative work sites, and work from home. Must have reliable high-speed internet and phone service. Ability to sit at a computer for periods of time. Ability to speak and communicate with various audiences in small and large group settings. Ability to set up presentation and display equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis including financial, statistical inference and reasoning. Ability to comprehend a diverse range of Human Services Programs and systems. Ability to multitask in order to meet strict deadlines. Mastery of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, etc.), relational data base languages (SQL, etc.), and graphing/charting software. Familiarity with GIS software is a plus.Employment Type: Limited Term Employee
