LTC, Certified Nursing Assistant-Terra Alta, WV

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contract, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join along-term care facility in Terra Alta, WV, on a 26-week contract basis.
As a CNA, you will provide essential direct care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Location: Terra Alta, WV
Contract Duration: 26 weeks
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week accounting for lunches
Shifts: Variable shifts, with evening shift and midnight shift being the most common
Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assist with the implementation of care plans under the supervision of licensed nurses.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with mobility and transferring residents.
• Document residents' care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements:

• Active WV CNA Certification.
• At least 1 year of CNA experience in a long-term care or similar setting.
• Active WV Cares certification.
• Completion of required background checks and drug screening.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including evenings and midnight shifts.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, if required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
