Job Description
The Residential Manager - LPN is responsible for all aspects of Supported Living, Nursing Services, Personal Assistance, and Community Based services for service recipients under state and Medicaid Waiver funding. This will include assisting individuals, families, and staff in the development and coordination of individual support plans. The Residential Manager – LPN will be responsible for meeting all quality assurance standards for services and direct supervision of Supported Living.
The Residential Manager – LPN will divide their time between office duties and areas where service provision occurs, spending the majority of time at service sites. In the case of staff shortages, the Residential Manager - LPN will work in a residential setting. Overnight stays for in-service and/or residential coverage may be required. Ability to handle occasional long hours and/or flexible schedules is needed to complete the requirements of supervision and maintenance of member homes. The ability to organize workloads/deadlines, as well as motivate staff, is necessary for success.
Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure that all medications are administered and documented correctly by appropriate staff, in both day center and home settings, including medications that are self-administered by members
Ensure that expired medications are properly disposed of.
Ensure that medical supplies and expired medications are reordered by staff.
Transport individuals as needed to medical appointments
Assist with tracking of medication variances
Communicate with Primary Care Providers to obtain orders
Ensure a quality service for individuals served, emphasizing the individual’s Vision of the Future
Comply with Easter Seals Policies and Procedures and Employee Handbook, DIDD standards, Licensure, Title VI, HIPAA, and Confidentiality requirements
Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding the safe operation of a motor vehicle, including the use of adaptive devices/equipment on vehicles
Promote a positive work environment, treating individuals served, staff, customers, and visitors with courtesy and respect as well as serving as an advocate for the individuals served
Attend in-service training sessions, meetings, and out of town activities as required
Assist in training new employees according to organizational and state guidelines
Ensure services are provided per cost/service plans
Ensure ISP implementation
Be on-call for staffing schedules to complete the requirements of supervision and maintenance of homes.
Coordinate with the COS and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Support Plans
Meet supervision plan guidelines by conducting quality assurance inspections at all residential sites
Complete all duties related to direct supervision including, but not limited to, payroll, performance evaluations, training, staffing patterns, and scheduling
Ensure that members have a safe and pleasant home environment
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Practical Nurse – LPN
- Valid TN driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must maintain liability auto insurance
- Must possess effective oral and written communication abilities
- Must be skilled in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification and meet all DIDD and agency training requirements
- Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks
- 1-3 years of management experience including on-call responsibilities preferred
- Preferred 1-5 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities under DIDD guidelines
Competitive base salary starting at $48,000, along with competitive hourly rate for any evening/weekend shifts supported and a company vehicle. In addition, strong comprehensive full benefits package.
