Indiana Spine Group is a growing physician owned specialty practice in central Indiana. We are committed to providing excellent care for our patients and in turn understand the importance of providing the same to our employees. Team work is emphasized as well as each employee’s responsibility for individual work load. Looking to fill this position as soon as possible. This position will work with a Spine Surgeon and his team.
The work
Position responsibilities include:
- Preparing patient packets for office visits
- Rooming patients/vitals for office visits in Carmel clinic
- Sanitizing exam rooms after treatment
- Assisting with medical records – scanning, copying, filing
- FMLA/disability paperwork
- Surgery scheduling - communicating with patient, scheduling facilities, vascular surgeon staff. Scheduling all pre-op visits, SEC visit with hospitals and any additional testing that may be required.
- Completing all pre-surgery paperwork and creating surgery packets; scheduling all 2 week post-op visits.
- Answer incoming telephone calls
- Treating each patient with the utmost courtesy and respect
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience and training in a medical environment preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years as a LPN/medical assistant in a physician office
- Experience with spine/ortho highly desirable
- Must be licensed LPN
- Great verbal communication
- Genuine caring for others
