Job Profile
This nursing position includes the following duties and responsibilities: phone triage, hands on patient care, medication administration, venipuncture and lab processing, and interim coverage for the nursing supervisor. May assist providers and staff with the daily coordination of patient care to facilitate efficient patient flow and provider access. Functions as a liaison between patients, staff and providers to ensure delivery of a patient centered model of care. All employees who will work with the primary care departments should participate in a patient centered medical home (PCMH) that orients primary care towards a holistic picture of wellness. Employees need to approach care as a team and help patients coordinate across all elements of the healthcare system Note: Must successfully demonstrate competencies within job position.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current state of Florida RN license.
Experience: Minimum 1 year nursing experience in a physician's office or clinic experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred. BLS/AED certification is required and must be maintained. ACLS or PALS certification preferred.
Business Skills: Excellent patient assessment skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; good analytical, logical, and reasoning skills; excellent organizational skills. Adept at electronic medical record and proficient in computer skills, including Windows and MS Office.
