Recognized as a valuable member of the Acute Care team, the LPN practices under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and assists patients, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families. Actions are team oriented to successfully provide patient/family care and high level of satisfaction, through evidence- based practice. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers.
Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental or own vehicle.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTSExperience or clinical time in Post-Acute Care or an Acute Care environment.- Preferred
Successful completion of a licensed practical nurse program from an accredited college. - Required
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa. - Required
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red cross - Required
