Located within our Emergency Department, the Urgent Care LPN provides direct and indirect care services that meet the psychological, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family. Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. While this role is providing nursing services in an Urgent Care setting, on an as needed basis it may float to the Emergency Department to assist in providing nursing services under the direction of the ED Registered nurse.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the State of Minnesota. One or more years of nursing experience desired.
- Current BLS certification
- Competency in Windows-based computer systems
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as adhere to strict patient confidentiality
- Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks based on patient needs while maintaining a superior level of customer service
- Possess knowledge of growth and development; specifically, an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process.
- Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
- Must be able to meet facility required physical job requirements
Schedule:
This fully benefits eligible part time position has a block schedule with hours from 8AM-8:30PM including every third weekend and will participate in our holiday rotation. Schedule is 48 hours per two-week pay period.
