Job Title: Private Duty Pediatric Nurse
Location: Washington Township, MI
Position Type: Part-time, Permanent
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to provide Private Duty nursing care for a delightful 5-year-old female in Washington Township, MI. The child has specific medical needs, including a tracheostomy, gastrostomy tube, and nightly ventilator support. The ideal candidate should be experienced in pediatric care and have a background in hospital nursing.
Responsibilities:
- Administering tracheostomy care and managing ventilator support during night shifts.
- Administering medications and nutritional support through a gastrostomy tube.
- Monitoring and maintaining the child's overall health and well-being.
- Assisting with lifting and positioning, as the child weighs approximately 45 pounds.
- Ensuring a clean and safe home environment for the child.
- Engaging in activities that promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
Qualifications:
- LPN or RN with a valid license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, with a preference for those with hospital experience.
- Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and gastrostomy tube feedings.
- Ability to lift and position a 45-pound child.
- Non-smoker.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
- Work Schedule: Part-time, flexible shifts. Monday to Friday: 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm or 4:00 pm - midnight. Weekends: Day shifts with 12-hour flexibility
