Shift- Tuesday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and Saturdays 5:40am-2:30p

Arms Acres is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Outpatient team in Carmel, NY. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the application of nursing procedures in the care of a designated group of patients. The LPN will demonstrate knowledge and competency in the performance of waive testing through training, updated knowledge of the manufacturers’ manuals and annual observation of routine work by the supervisor or a delegate.

Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessment and diagnostic services to patient in an outpatient setting. Provides Nursing care in compliance with the physician’s orders and established medical protocols all within the nursing scope of practice and participates in the development of treatment in planning. Delivers care in a manner that respects the patient’s right to privacy and maintains the patient’s right for confidentiality. Demonstrates knowledge, judgment, and competency in skills, proper technique and safety precautions. Performs data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner. Competently uses equipment to gather data, e.g. pulse ox, electronic thermometer, BAC, UDS when needed. Retrieves orders and administers correct medications per physician’s orders and facilitates procedure and policy. Performs competently in emergency situations, following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate people and documenting events.
