LPN OR Surgical Coordinator

The Surgical Coordinator accepts responsibility and is accountable for the performance of surgical scheduling duties under the direct supervision of the department director in accordance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures. Able to meet set deadlines consistently. Also responsible for backing up the director/leadership with charge entry, validating pre-operative paperwork is complete, pre-procedure reminder calls and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

Current LPN license in Tennessee, Kentucky, or as appropriate through the compact state licensure criteria/qualifications.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous scheduling experience desired. Excellent customer service and service recovery skills. Ability to get along with all levels of personnel and the public. Employee must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire date and maintain certification throughout their employment. Must present a professional appearance, have good interpersonal skills and maintain patient privacy/confidentially
