Position Summary:
Assures and assists in provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patients and family.
Coordinates patient care with registered nurse and other departments.
Assists the physician.
Essential Functions:
Performs data collection and obtains patient information. Drag Edit Delete Assists the RN with patient care. Drag Edit Delete Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified. Drag Edit Delete Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process. Drag Edit Delete Demonstrates professional and personal development. Drag Edit Delete Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.Reports to: Department Director
Minimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Discipline - Required Drag Edit Delete Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days. Drag Edit Delete Required Licenses
