Part Time 2nd Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Fairview is looking for dedicated LPN's who can work with a Special Needs Population of adults.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE POSITION: As an LPN at Fairview responsibilities include, providing nursing care to the program patients to aid in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of substance and alcohol use disorder. The incumbent performs a variety of nursing activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team and carries a caseload of assigned clients. Work is performed under supervision of the Clinical Director or Medical Director, with latitude allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in performing nursing duties. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:(Illustrative only)
- Provide nursing services as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team;
- Identifies patient nursing care needs and carry out a nursing care plan, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse;
- Observe and report data relating to patient mental and physical status; May refer patients to other agencies for a variety of needed services;
- Maintain medical records, medication sheets, and provide oversight for self-administration of medications as directed;
- Attend courses and perform independent study and reading to further professional growth;
- Compile and maintain a variety of records, reports, and statistical information as directed
- All FRS Staff, including LPN are Mandated Reporters and are trained on Mandated Reporting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Good knowledge of current trends and theories in the nursing care and treatment of patients with addiction or emotional problems.
- Good knowledge of community organizations and health resources available for the addicted/alcoholic.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, families, and colleague agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Empathy for persons with problems associated with substance abuse or mental illness.
LPN Part Time 20-hour: must work at least 20 hours per week as a designated part time employee. Paid benefit time includes: Sick time 48 hours per year, Personal time 12 hours per year, Holiday time 4 hours for Christmas Day and 4 hours for Thanksgiving Day plus 2-4 hour floating holidays, and Vacation time 40 hours per year. There is a 6-month probationary period before these benefits begin to accrue.
