Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interacts with residents and staff in a professional and friendly manner at all times and possesses compassion for residents.
- Interacts with care staff, co-workers and supervisors in a professional, respectful and caring manner at all times.
- Follows nursing service policies and procedures.
- Administers resident rights program as outlined by Federal and State regulations.
- Administers and documents all medication management for residents.
- Notifies resident's physician and family of change in resident's condition.
- Documents family and resident concerns with healthcare management.
- Reports any instances of abuse through appropriate established avenues as outlined by state regulations and/or community policy and procedure.
- Demonstrates high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
- Completes on-going training as required by state regulations.
- Promotes and maintains positive relationships with co-workers, residents, family members, guests, and service providers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program in compliance with State regulations.
- Knowledge of state assisted living or personal care home regulations as applicable.
- Experience with aging-related diseases and disorders.
- Experience working with senior citizens.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to display compassion toward residents as appropriate. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competent in organization and time management.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to work well under stress, complete assignments accurately, and work independently.
- Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees.
- Demonstrate desire to be a team player.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Walk; sit; stand, sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Talk and hear.
- Ability to push, pull or lift: Up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
