JOB DESCRIPTION
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE in ATLANTA Metro Georgia
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is a professional member of the health care team whose primary responsibility is providing direct nursing care under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act regulations of the State Board of Nursing. This position involves TOTAL CARE, and reports to the Nursing Supervisor, A Registered Nurse.
WORK SCHEDULE: Mon ? Sun, 8:00am ? 8:00pm (will involve multiple Nurses to Cover the Hours Involved).
PAY RANGE: $30 - $35 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience with use of Trach and Trach Care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Peg Tube Feeding.
- Experience with Medication Administration via Peg Tube.
- Ability to provide care for a client needing Total Care.
- Possess valid current License under the GA State Board of Nursing.
- General knowledge of the disease process and medication action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Implement the client?s Care Plan and provide direct nursing care of sub-acute, chronically ill, and convalescent clients.
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments according to a prescribed regimen.
- Monitor client's condition including the effectiveness of treatments and medications.
- Notify supervisor of changes in client's condition.
- Teach the client appropriate self-care techniques.
- Document accurately and submit timely the nursing notes, according to agency standards.
