Low Voltage Field Service Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for all onsite delivery, implementation, service and support of wiring needs for our customers. This relates to all Low Voltage wiring technology, to include: Category 6+, Fiber, Coax, Phone lines, and multimedia wiring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pulling and routing structured Low Voltage cable in a commercial environment.
• Termination of wiring. (Cat 6, Coax, Fiber)
• Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of structured cabling solutions
• Testing and labeling of all wire runs
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Installing and mounting IP devices that connect into the network (Wireless AP, Cameras, speakers, etc.)
• Installing support structures for solutions (Racks, J-Hooks, conduits, etc.)
• System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
• Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
