GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for all onsite delivery, implementation, service and support of wiring needs for our customers. This relates to all Low Voltage wiring technology, to include: Category 6+, Fiber, Coax, Phone lines, and multimedia wiring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pulling and routing structured Low Voltage cable in a commercial environment.
- Termination of wiring. (Cat 6, Coax, Fiber)
- Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of structured cabling solutions
- Testing and labeling of all wire runs
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues
- Installing and mounting IP devices that connect into the network (Wireless AP, Cameras, speakers, etc.)
- Installing support structures for solutions (Racks, J-Hooks, conduits, etc.)
- System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages

- Escalate service and project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels

- Ownership of basic telecom tools: punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, etc.
