Job Summary

The Detail/Wash bay attendant is generally responsible for washing and detailing vehicles for customers, Sales and Service Department. Perform occasional delivery of customers and or their vehicles. Keep grounds and work areas clean and assist in other duties as directed by management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clean and professional appearance of Service Department.
  • Meet established goals set by management in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate reconditioning and detailing supplies with supervisor to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Clean and prep all vehicles for all "done deals".
  • Perform trash pick-up and removal from lot and property areas.
  • Wash all designated Service customer vehicles as directed by Service Writers
  • Ensure timely wash and internal cleaning of all Rental (TRAC) vehicles.
  • Coordinate daily with Cashiers on clean and prep of TRAC vehicles ,including fueling prior to rentals.
  • Advise Cashiers of any known damage to vehicles: TRAC, Service customers, and New and Used inventory.
  • Perform trash pick-up and removal from lot and property areas.
  • Operate all equipment and handle chemicals in a safe manner, making sure all chemical bottles are marked appropriately.
  • Maintain a professional image and appearance in the workplace.
  • Follow procedures and policies set forth by management, Employee Handbook and Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol testing policy.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • Strong organizational skills and patience
