Loss Prevention Officer

Duties:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
- Respond to alarms and incidents in a timely manner, following established protocols
- Conduct investigations into suspected theft or fraudulent activities, gathering evidence and preparing detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to assist in criminal investigations
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor and record activities
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any security-related concerns or inquiries

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in Loss Prevention or criminal justice is a plus
- Proven experience in Loss Prevention, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with team members and customers
- Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally, resolving issues effectively
- Knowledge of Loss Prevention techniques, including inventory control, surveillance, and access control systems
- Familiarity with criminal investigation procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in operating surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established guidelines and procedures
