Loss Prevention Agent - Theme Park - Universal City, Ca

Summary

This position will support the Loss Prevention Department as it relates to profit protection through the Shoplift Program at all applicable business ventures within Theme Park in Universal City, CA

Responsibilities

• Conduct undercover investigations to identify and apprehend shoplifters at Theme Park / Securitas to conclusion; understand and adhere to industry standard “5 Step” apprehension process
• Initiate professional apprehension of suspected shoplifters to Theme Park/ Securitas expectations
• Conduct interviews with apprehended shoplifters to recover all stolen property
• Prepare detailed reports, create and maintain electronic and physical evidence files of all observed theft incidents to Theme Park/ Securitas expectations
• Collaborate with law enforcement to report observed crimes per Theme Park/ Securitas policy
• Conduct CCTV surveillance and review as needed
• Develop and maintain partnerships with Theme Park Security as it pertains to job responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a working relationship with Law Enforcement
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in undercover shoplift detection and apprehensions
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of a 24/7 365-day operation including special events which may occur outside of scheduled operating hours
• Must be flexible/willing to work extended (OT) hours on short notice
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day
• Must be willing/able to work in Universal City, CA
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18+ years or older

Desired Characteristics

• 2-3 years’ experience in undercover shoplift detection and apprehensions
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
