Location: New Carlisle, IN 46552
Job Duration: 13-week Renewable Contract
Shifts: Day Shift (07:00 - 19:00) OR Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $1,296-$1,512/week
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with a background in Long-Term Care (LTC) to join our dedicated team on a renewable contract basis. As an RN in our LTC facility, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need of long-Term Care services.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for residents in the long-Term Care facility.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans based on residents' needs and goals.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents, promoting their overall well-being and dignity.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families.
- Document accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMRs) to maintain residents' health information and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and facilitate comprehensive care plans.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, residents, and their families.
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completed COVID-19 vaccination as per facility guidelines (no exemptions).
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
