Job Summary:
The Logistics & Warehouse Operations Assistant is responsible for shipment planning, routing, customer communication, database management, reporting and administrative tasks around the fleet and Warehouse Operations. This role reports to the Logistics Director and will play a proactive, essential role in improving the logistics of 4P.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with in-house teams to execute accurate and timely processing of orders and deliveries.
- Maintain Vendor and Customer Database
- Communicate with Vendors and Customers in a timely manner.
- Track and report Vehicle Maintenance needs and report on mileage and other costs.
- Ensure Maintenance logs for fleet and Warehousing needs are up to date at all times.
- Manage contractors and correct billing based on contract terms.
- Ensure paperwork is accurate and filed daily.
- Support with maintaining logistics policies, procedures, support plans, and reporting needs.
- Monitor and track temperatures or WH and Fleet daily.
- Creates and maintains various reports and overviews to track the performance of a team.
- Anticipate and identify problems and develop a plan to implement solutions in an unbiased, logical manner.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Possess good decision-making ability
- Strong computer literacy, with experience/fluency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and Transport Management Software preferred.

Education and Experience:
- An associate degree or high school diploma.
- 1-2 years’ experience with Logistics in food and beverage or other wholesale food purchasing is preferred.
- Experience tracking and reporting data for various metrics.
Physical Requirements:
- Maintain a positive attitude and focus in a fast-paced and changing environment to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. minimum.
- Flexible work schedule (which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary.
