Job Summary: The Logistics Operator is a key person in ensuring the flow of chassis and truck bodies. They will check in chassis, load product and chassis using the appropriate equipment, as well as transport finished products as assigned. This position will be doing troubleshooting issues as they arise with the chassis and will work with other departments to ensure the flow of trucks. Sort and distribute fabricated parts.
Essential Duties:

• Prep chassis and finished assemblies for ship-out.
  • Drive chassis onto trailers.
  • Load large assemblies onto trailers using a crane.
• Transport finished trucks to local providers
• Prep chassis for transportation.
• Start trucks.
• Check in new chassis including inspections, measurements, and documentation.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Coordination between different departments to get trucks where needed on site.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• CDL Class B preferred.
• Experience with crane and forklift operation.
• Experience with 12-volt wiring.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and use a tape measurer and hand tools efficiently.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office Products.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others
• Attention to detail.
• High level of awareness of the work environment and safety.
• Willing to perform a variety of tasks to support production.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.

Physical Requirements:

• Must wear PPE as prescribed in Safety policies.
• Will be exposed to varying weather conditions including inclement weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Occasional bending, twisting, pulling, kneeling, raising arms above head, and climbing ladders.
