The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Our team is chartered with providing the skills, innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter.
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking self-motivated, energetic individual to work at government customer site in Stafford, Virginia as a Logistics Analyst. The successful candidate will work on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program supporting customer systems.
What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the day to day logistic, inventory, and property management effort in support of the maintenance O&M contract and various special projects.
  • Receive and process material and equipment from vendors, other contractors, and commercial couriers.
  • Perform quality check of material and equipment to ensure they are received in good working order and condition.
  • Pack and prepare equipment and material to support scheduled and unscheduled remote site maintenance and repair, off site testing, and new system installation and test requirements.
  • Maintain and order logistics supplies.
  • Coordinate the induction, repair, and return of calibrated and other essential material.
  • Performs data entry and updates of the site inventory CMMS database.
  • Coordination of equipment calibrations and disposal.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and integrate approved equipment modifications into the existing customer baseline.
  • Ensure positive control of customer assigned property; compliance to customer and company import/export policies; records are maintained to comply with contractual requirements; maintain program/site Property Management Plan

Basic qualifications:
Skills required are in line with Army 92Y or 92A and Navy Storekeeper or Logistics Specialist
  • Bachelor's + 3 years of exp: Master's + 1 years of exp. 7 years in leu of degree.
  • Active TS-SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
  • Working knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
  • General application of concepts and principles.
  • Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment or independently.
  • Must possess organized, logical thought processing skills, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and use personnel lifts for heights to approximately 50 feet (using approved fall protection equipment), ascend and descend ~60 feet of stairs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse storage guidelines
  • Ability to work closely with other contractors and government customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Support 12hr weekend shifts (every ~14 weeks).
  • Visitor Control Center back up support.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Active TS-SCI clearance with CI Poly
  • Forklift License
  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation and Supply Chain Management or Logistics field (preferred)

Salary Range: $65,600.00 - $98,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
